Bears at large

I was out and about today and noticed that the police seemed to be out in great numbers. Basically I saw more driving around than I usually do but since I work days it might not be so abnormal.  Anyway, heading home I noticed a cop on the side of the road putting up yellow tape. I pulled into my parking spot and before I was out of my car a cop pulled into the complex. I asked what was up with the yellow tape. Apparently they are trying to capture a bear. Crazy for this time a year, shouldn't bears be sleeping at this time of year.

It has been over a week since I sprained my ankle at work on slush and ice. It still hurts and is swollen. But I figure it will heal eventually and hopefully soon.

January Driving

So after work On Thursday I left Gold River so I could get to Campbell River for an appointment at 8am Friday.
The First two pictures are of the road between Gold River and Buttle Narrows.The last two pictures are of the road between Buttle Narrows and Campbell River. I made it even though I am terrified of driving in snow.

Snow

I'm in Campbell River tonight but when I get back yo Gold River I will post pictures of the snow covered roads I traveled on to get to Campbell River so I could get a new windshield again. The rocks this year have been bad. So Pictures await.

What to say?????

I have been doing this blog for over a year now and am finding that there are times and long periods when I don't blog. This I guess could be because I was never really a journal er when growing up, or nothing really exciting happens here. There are times when life just seems way to routine here.

Now that it is a new year I guess it is time to get on here again. Well I finally have water again as of late yesterday but there was a dripping pipe that lead into my hot water tank. The guys who got the water running didn't want to deal with that as well yesterday. Its a good thing I know people. Romeo came to the rescue and fixed it in 2 minutes, it was leaking at a valve that turned would cut the water off from entering my place from the main line through the ceiling. Apparently it just needed to be tightened.

After a fitful sleep I felt like I really never did get into a deep sleep my alarm went off and it was back to work after a couple weeks off over the Christmas break. No one really wanted to be here and we are all dragging our butts. The band office is closed today due to a funeral so it is very very quiet. And to top it off it started snowing 45 minutes ago, the weather forecast is for rain. But there is a snow fall warning for the island so I shouldn't be to surprised to see snow. I should bring in my camera to work the long house has had a bunch of work done on it and I should add more photos.
