Boxing Day

Well another Christmas is over and again I'm getting ready to go back up to Gold River so that I can spend some time there before going back to work. Time sure seems to fly didn't we just do last Christmas?????

Hmmmm

Well there is a lot of fresh snow on the mountain tops around Gold River..... Yuck winter is coming....

Yesterday

Yesterday I left work looked back toward the office and look what was in the sky.....

It looked like it was a full rainbow but with the trees in the way it was hard to tell. I guess that's one cool thing about the rain we get to see rainbows.

Zeballos trip

Okay our cars do get very dirty when we travel. You can't tell very well by the photo but it does.Below is the new band office at Oclucji.

Campbell River

We were going to leave Campbell River at 8 am to drive to Zeballos so we stayed the night there. We were given rooms on the 6th floor over looking the harbour. I watched the ferry come in and out and in and out. I guess just across the bay.

Gone

Well summer was short..... Way to short.
It is definitely fall now. It has done nothing but rain here for days if not heading into weeks. I did get up and go for a walk today even though it was pouring out. The last few nights I swear there has been thunder but I don't recall seeing the lighting. But this morning I did see lighting.

Summer

Okay I guess summer finally decided to make an appearance this year. It has not been as hot as it has been the last few summers but still hot enough to go jump in the lakes. I have not gone to the river yet as the river is most likely to COLD but the lake has been warm. I actually got a bit of a burn on the weekend and I was only at the lake a few hours and yes in the water for most of that. I hope this weather lasts.

Rainbow

I looked out My upstairs windows tonight and this beutiful rainbow was in the sky. There is a tree on my right but it looks like the rainbow has a full arc in it. SO cool.

Now at the beginning of May the world looked different maybe spring sprung.

April 16th ish

This is what my commute to worked looked like on or about April 16 2011. I don't think this was the weather forecast for the day either I believe the for cast was for rain. BUT NNNNOOOOO we get white stuff instead how does that happen.

GGGRRRRR

Okay weather get it together its the middle of April and it is snowing. Its spring now only rain and sunshine are allowed. Yes we want more sunshine than rain but will take rain over snow any day.

Okay its now the middle of April and it's SNOWING okay at the moment it's not sticking but its still snowing. GRRRRR I want sun and blue sky and a little warmth.

????Spring????

So spring might actually have come to Gold River.... Mind you there was fresh snow on the mountains yesterday morning. Some people tend to think that there will be another good dump of snow on April long weekend.

March 21

Well can you believe this....Gold River had nicer weather than Victoria today. It was overcast and trying to rain when I left Victoria. I got to Gold River to blue sky with clouds and the SUN was shining..........

Big House

I better get these pictures posted before we loose Internet again its been off all day. We finally had the opportunity to look inside the building. It seems smaller that what I expected for a big house in terms of floor space.

The above photo is of an outside wall where it meets the roof. Another basically tree is used as a beam.
